What Are The Trailer Axle Parts?

They are the parts that connect the suspension of your trailer to the wheels. The axle itself is nade up of tubular steel. The gage of the steel is one of the many factors that determine the load capacity of the trailer. If you have a leaf spring suspension, the axle will be connected to the springs with ubolts and tie-plates.

The remaining Trailer Axle Parts are found at the ends of the axle. They include the Spindle, the Hub, the Bearings, the Seals, and the Grease Cap. For trailers with a load capacity greater than 2000lbs, the Trailer Axle Parts will include a Brake Drum and all relevant components. The above picture show an axle with a brake drum on top, and one without on the bottom.
